Why We Built TripsByDate
Searching for a package holiday should be straightforward. We built TripsByDate around a simpler question: when can you travel?
The problem with searching for holidays
Traditional holiday searches often ask you to choose a destination before you know what is available. If you are open to visiting different places, you can end up repeating the same search for one destination after another.
Different travel companies also present their offers in different ways. Comparing them can mean switching between websites, changing filters and trying to keep track of what you have already seen.
We wanted to make browsing simpler
TripsByDate starts with your departure airport and the dates you are free to travel. Choose your airport once, the website remembers your selection for future visits, then click through the dates to browse the package holidays listed for each day.
There is no need to pick a destination first. You can explore different places and compare options in a consistent, easy-to-read listing format.
Why bring together listings from different providers?
Package holidays are offered by many different companies. We want travellers to be able to discover options from multiple providers in one place, rather than having to start separate searches on each company's website.
TripsByDate is a discovery tool, not the holiday booking provider. When you find an interesting listing, you follow it to the supplier to confirm the latest availability, price, inclusions and booking terms.
Our longer-term ambition
Our goal is to grow TripsByDate into a comprehensive package holiday aggregator, bringing together listings from as many suitable travel providers as possible and presenting them in the same straightforward format.
That is the direction we are building towards, not a claim that every provider or holiday is already listed.
Who is this approach for?
It is especially useful for people who have fixed annual leave, need to travel during a particular week, or simply want ideas without deciding on a country first. It is also for anyone who prefers scanning clear holiday listings over filling out a long series of search filters.
